Roger Underwood remembers:

I remember Rusty's Market across from the court house before he moved to 23rd street.

I remember the free movies for kids on Saturday morning at the Granada theater.

I remember sled rides on the KU campus up by Potters Lake.

I remember John's Novelty shop next to the Granada Theater.

I remember Green's Barn and Jerry Lee Lewis.

I remember being afraid of Coach Duver.

I remember being caught smoking in the High School boys bathroom.

This whole "I remember" thing is really stiring some dormant feelings. Most are good!

David Burnett to Roger Underwood:

Roger, I also remember when Rustys' was across from the Court House. In fact I remember when Burnett Manufacturing wasn't as successful as Burnett Instruments and my Mom would get groceries from Rusty and he would let her sign a little green receipt for them until she could pay latter. Those were the real "good old days."
